Lifesaving Technical Offical Course (Level 1)

In line with the effort to improve the level of lifesaving sport in Singapore, the Singapore Life Saving Society (SLSS) invites interested participants to the Lifesaving Technical Official Course (Level 1) on Sunday 24 May 2026.

This course is open to all SLSS members and members of Affiliates who meet the prerequisites. Candidates who have been actively contributing in SLSS Lifesaving Competitions as volunteers/officials will be able to attend the course at a subsidised rate.

· Rules of Lifesaving competition

· Assessment and accreditation

Course Fees

SLSS Members and Affiliates / Members of SLSS Affiliates:    $25.00

Appointed Official/volunteer for SLSS Lifesaving Competitions in 2024-2025:  $15.00

Pre-requisites

Candidates need to fulfill all the following requirements before registering:

· 16 years old and above;

· Current holder of SLSS Bronze Medallion or higher;

· Current SLSS Member, or a member of a current SLSS Affiliate or Associate member organisation.

Completing the Course

To successfully complete this course, participants will need to attend 100% of this theory session, complete not less than 16 hours of practical assessment at SLSS sanctioned competitions, and be assessed as competent to perform a Level 1 Technical Official's role.
