About The Event
Most of us are well-acquainted with the vigilant lifeguards in red and yellow stationed at our public ActiveSG swimming pools. However, in the condominiums across Singapore that boast swimming pool facilities, the presence of lifeguards is notably absent. This becomes a pressing concern, especially for families with young children who frequently indulge in aquatic activities within these residential compounds. Often, it is the domestic helper who supervises the children during their pool time.
Imagine the peace of mind and confidence we would have if our domestic helpers were proficient in aquatic lifesaving techniques, such as the basic land-based rescue techniques. This would greatly uplift our children's safety in swimming pools.
The Singapore Life Saving Society's Basic Lifesaving 1 course aims to provide our participants with basic land-based dry rescue skills and knowledge of water safety.
