Standard Module (SDM)
Awards :
Bronze Medallion and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation.
Aim : This Module prepares the trainees to respond effectively in water emergencies to
the standards required of a qualified lifesaver.
Pre-requisite :
Successfully completed the Preliminary Module or equivalent.
Minimum Age : 14
years old.
Class Size : 8 - 10
participants.
Duration : 10 sessions
of 2 hours each.
Course Fee : $350 per
participant.

A. Skills covered in Preliminary Module.
B. Unaided Landing of victim.
C. Resuscitation Rescues.
D. Lifesaving Strokes.
E. Underwater Search.
F. Contact rescues.
G. Distance towing with timing.
H. Basic Physiology.
I. Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation.
J. Emergency Care.
Course Entitlement : A SLSS round-neck Tee-Shirt, three pairs of surgical gloves and three CPR
face-shields.
